Trip to Australia

I went to Australia, Cairns when I was second grade of high school student as the school trip. Have you ever been affected your mind by going abroad? My answer is ‘’Yes, I have’’. Three years ago, I experienced a lot of things which was first time for me.

There are three things I learned through this trip to Australia. First, I found communication was quite important. I could not convey my opinion in English. Threfore, I managed to use gestures. Second, Australians were very friendly. They talked to me in a nice manner even when it was first time. Their attitude and behavior were vital to communicate. I thought that I could change myself to be active. Finally, I became more positive to learn English because I felt happy when I made themselves understood my English. Now I am in SLC. I am going to Tasmania for 8 months from this July. If I have a free time, I want to come back to Cairns!

My Club

This is my first journal is in all English. It is very very hard for me, but I try to my best.
I belong to ESS(English Speaking Society) club. The number of people is maybe over thirty without freshmen. Freshmen of this year have already joined ten. It is better thing than other year. Club’s aim is to join over twenty freshmen into ESS.
We have every Tuesday and Friday from five to seven in 626 room. Club content of activity of first half is mainly discussion led by the discussion chief. We discuss about it.  In the second half, we separate speech class (make speech about the day’s topic. Then announce each speech in front of everyone.) and discussion class. (Keep to active same class.) Our seniors are really kind. They teach me English: how to write essay such as mistake grammar, easy to understand sentences and pronounce.
The purpose of this club is to get ability to use English for communication through speaking in English. Our club activities will let you have a lot of opportunities to improve.
